Michal currently serves as the Global Practice Group Leader for SpenglerFox’s Consumer division. He is responsible for managing the group’s performance, its revenues and profits and for looking after the Consumer team. He also devotes his time to business development, account management and communications with SpenglerFox’s partners in the Consumer area. Michal is based out of SpenglerFox’s office in London.
Michal has worked in the Executive Search industry since 2005 and in the Talent Management sector since 2000. His main focus has been on consultancy in the Consumer sector. However, he has also worked on projects in the Life Sciences, Industrial & Manufacturing and Human Capital Solutions practice group areas. Prior to becoming a member of the SpenglerFox team, he worked with Berlitz in its Cross Cultural and Corporate Services Departments. He also looked after account management and business development at that company.
Michal did his undergraduate studies in Japanese and Japanese Culture, History and Literature at Charles University in Prague. He holds an MA degree in English, Psychology and Geography from the J.A. Purkyne University in Ústí nad Labem, Czech Republic.
Career Challenges / Inspiration
He considers the successful management of the SpenglerFox demerger from former parent company, Grafton, to be one his most interesting career challenges so far.
Michal describes his professional outlook as being based on 3 Ps: persistent, positive and passionate. He says that his everyday encounters with inspirational people are his biggest motivation.
