Discovering growth opportunities in times when traditional approaches prove stagnating

Western economies have been hit hard by the financial crisis and its resultant aftermath. Traditional companies have retrenched into home markets however leaders of multinational companies are by now well aware of the growth potential that emerging markets represent, such as China and India.

Many multinational players, however, don’t seem to be capturing that growth as well as their emerging-market counterparts are. Spengler Fox brought together a panel of experts with multinational experience to discuss how to find and capitalise on growth opportunities.

Our panellists included Eric Dingman, a consumer marketer with vast experience in restructuring and leading organisations through rapidly changing market landscapes and Terry Irwin, a consultant after 20 years experience as a country and regional MD with one of Europe’s largest fast moving consumer goods organisations. Also joining the discussion as challenger was Alex Ash, director in the corporate consulting group of Jones Lang LaSalle. Together, Dingman, Irwin and Ash shared insights on finding growth opportunities and how to position a company to take advantage of those opportunities.
