This global Energy Drink company is a strategic partner for SpenglerFox. By understanding their unique company culture and position requirements, we are privileged to have helped the company grow their people capabilities across a number of geographies. The company now has a much greater footprint across EMEA and SpenglerFox has been a key partner in filling senior and middle management positions.

Our approach
Our relationship began with a project in Russia. SpenglerFox was tasked with finding five Regional Sales Directors and lower-level Cell Commercial Managers across the regions of Russia. The senior roles were given priority and we searched the whole of Russia to identify the right talent with a cultural affinity and mindset. This was then cascaded down to target regional sales professionals in the FMCG arena for the Cell Commercial Manager roles.
The project team consisted of seven consultants and researchers focusing on regions across Russia. From seven long lists our project team conducted interviews that led to the creation of seven shortlists for the two types of position.

In the Czech & Slovak Republics, SpenglerFox became a key partner in helping our client raise their market profile, mainly in the sales and marketing and trade marketing functions. We have recently managed to place a Logistics Manager, HR Manager, Field Sales Manager and Business Controller.
In China, we helped recruit the Managing Director, a renowned business leader with a vast amount of beverage experience, for the entire Asia Pacific operation. Since then we have also recruited a Regulatory Affairs Director for Asia; a Country Manager for Taiwan; a Managing Director for Japan; and an On-Premise Manager and Off-Premise Manager for Hong Kong. We are currently working on further positions across Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines.

Our client is affirming its place in the market in India, and SpenglerFox has helped recruit the key positions of Managing Director and Marketing Director.
In Poland and Baltics: we found three Brand and Communication Manager positions. Later we managed to secure an entire, restructured sales team including Sales Director, KEY Account Manager and Regional Sales Managers. Our last assignment was for the On-Premise Director.

We have also sourced a Commercial Director, Turkey; a General Manager for Tokyo, Japan; and a Trade Marketing Director, Ukraine.

A slightly different assignment was the Talent Pool Project. This saw SpenglerFox consultants and researchers across Asia, India, Turkey, Hungary and Russia undertake a cross-border search for specific marketing talent in PR and Communications, Sport and Events and Culture & Music Marketing.

Delivering high-quality candidates at speed

"We need a marketing team from scratch"

Our client, an International provider of Medical Nutrition supplies was reshuffling its presence on the global markets to become a truly marketing-driven company. In Russia it needed to create, in one project, a full marketing team consisting of a Marketing Director, two General Brand Managers and two Brand Managers.

Our approach
 The project was split between two executive search partners, one was in charge of the Marketing Director search and Spengler Fox was in charge of searching for the remainder of the team.

SpenglerFox was asked to find the four marketing positions in the most efficient way possible, within a very tight timeframe. We came up with a unique solution – to create a marketing ‘blitz’ to fill all four vacancies at once. The idea was that, within seven weeks, we would have a pool of 15 candidates at two different levels, GBM and BM.

The result
Two General Brand Managers and one Brand Manager were successfully selected, with one to be added the following month.

In fact, we had sourced such an impressive candidate pool that one of the most senior people was offered the role of Marketing Director. This was not in our remit, but our client preferred this candidate over the ones proposed for the role by an alternative executive search firm.

Following this, SpenglerFox was asked to find a Regional HRD and Regional Finance Director for Russia and CIS. We were also tasked with finding:
  •     A General Manager Romania, in Romania
  •     A General Manager Balkans, in Slovenia
  •     A Marketing Director GCC, in Dubai
  •     Two more top management roles in Poland and Ukraine.
We organised interviews with some 25 relevant people to find the perfect selection of candidates for our client. The SpenglerFox network swung into action, enabling us to complete the task within the given timeframe with 13 relevant, pre-selected candidates.
