Great leaders are at once inspirational and self aware. Leadership talent comes in many forms and at SpenlgerFox we witness the impact of talent in action on a daily basis. Here Mark Hamill, Managing Director of SpenglerFox identifies his business and leadership heroes and explains why he would invite them for an imaginary dinner party.

In just over twenty five years he has built the company into an international recruitment network spanning 72 offices in 18 countries, making it Ireland’s largest independent recruitment company. The network spans from Santiago in Chile to Beijing in China. He was among the very first entrepreneurs from Ireland and the UK to invest in central and eastern Europe after the fall of the Iron Curtain, opening an office in Prague in 1994 and moving into Poland shortly afterwards. Grafton is now the largest recruitment network in Central and Eastern Europe and is the Market Leader in the Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia. The company also owns the international executive search and selection company Spengler Fox, and the RPO solutions provider Grafton ESP which have offices worldwide. James Kilbane and Grafton Recruitment’s success has been recognised a number of times by the British Government, receiving the prestigious Queen’s Award for Enterprise twice in 2002 and 2006. On both occasions James was received at Buckingham Palace to accept the award from HM Queen Elizabeth II. In 2006 James was a finalist in the International Category of the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year competition. |
